When we started posting strips for TP’s 12 days, Dave and I had 5 or 6 of them queued up. Now we’re running low. We’ve both been working our butts off, but with the posting of tonight’s (seventh!) strip, we’re starting to get to the bottom of the barrel on the ol’ queue. That’s not to say that we’re going to miss a day. I guarantee that we’ll post something cool every day, even if I have to whip out some old never-before-seen artwork and scan it in. Not that I plan on missing a day, but, well, you never know.
This week has been very stressful for a number of reasons. The holidays, shopping, communicating with family, school projects, labs, work, etc., etc. Getting the strip done has required herculean effort, but it’s also shown Dave and I that we are capable of cranking out a pretty good number of high quality strips. Not a one of the strips that we’ve put up in the past 8 days has been a cop-out. I’m proud of each and every one of them. I hope you like them, too.
With that out of the way, here’s the current list of new stuff:
- A brand new strip.
- Another brand new strip.
- A third brand new strip.
- A (can you believe it?) fourth brand spanking new strip.
- Five Golden Rings!
- It’s a new Strip!!!
- A sixth new strip.
- BOOM!
That last strip is something special; it’s Towne Pub’s first ever two-page spread. That’s right…it’s a double-wide strip. That might not be obvious when you first click on it. It’ll atually look smaller than a normal strip because we kept the width of the posted strip to the same size as all of the others (773 pixels if you’re curious). Click on the “digitally remastered” link under the strip to see the full sized deal, though.
I should also point out that, despite my begging him to, Dave was unable to find a PhotoShop plugin that would generate the lines radiating out from the explosion in this most recent strip. I was therefore forced to draw each and every one of them by hand. The horror! I think the effect absolutely kicks ass, though.
For those of you that still haven’t figured out what I’ve got planned for Savage, stay tuned. With any luck all will be revealed by Christmas Day.
