I can understand how this strip might be confusing to someone who has never read a Hulk comic before, so I’ll explain it.
Savage didn’t suddenly sprout a few clones, and there aren’t three green monsters standing behind him singing their hearts out. What I’ve tried to depict is the rather rapid process of Savage transforming back ino himself. The figure on the left is the fully transformed Sav, and the figure on the bottom right is the fully un-transformed Sav.
Of course everyone I’ve asked about the illustration has immediately discerned this, so I’m not terribly worried. I’m sure that anyone with an ounce of gray matter will pick it up right away. I’m sure you did, right?
I’ll talk more tomorrow when I am less tired. I’ve spent the day coding like crazy and I’d like to go to bed now.
